Law Clerk to Judge Lisa Miralles Walsh, J.S.C. August 2018-August 2019
Served a one-year appointment as law clerk to Judge Lisa Miralles Walsh in criminal trial court. Responsibilities included conducting legal research, reviewing moving papers and drafting judicial opinions on pre-trial and post-dispositional motions. Topics of research typically included questions of New Jersey and United States Constitutional law, particularly where relevant to the rights of the accused and the areas of search and seizure. Substantial research and writing efforts are also directed toward resolving evidentiary and procedural issues. Motions decided frequently included motions suppress evidence, compel discovery, dismiss indictments and petitions for post-conviction relief. Spent significant time in attendance of oral arguments, testimonial hearings and trials.

Seminar discussing the latest caselaw pertinent to litigating personal injury cases involving rideshare companies. Topics included determining independent contractor vs. employee status of drivers; insurance requirements; and settlement strategies particular to the rideshare industry.

New Jersey Defense Association, 2018 Trial College (2018)
Practical continuing education course that focused on civil trial presentation skills, with particular focus on the area of cross examination of medical expert witnesses in cases involving traumatic brain injuries.
